• Google Gemini API Key: Stored locally in your browser's secure storage to authenticate API requests
• User Preferences: Extension settings (language, prompt templates, etc.) stored locally
• Chat Messages: Temporarily read from Shopee pages for AI processing only - never stored permanently

3. How We Use Data

Your data is used solely for:

• Generating AI-powered customer service responses using Google Gemini API
• Maintaining your extension preferences and settings
• Providing the core functionality of the AI chat assistant

We do NOT:

• Store your chat conversations
• Share your data with third parties (except Google Gemini API for processing)
• Use your data for advertising or marketing
• Track your browsing behavior

4. Data Storage

• Local Storage Only: All data is stored locally in your Chrome browser using Chrome's storage API
• No External Servers: We do NOT maintain any external servers or databases
• Temporary Processing: Chat messages are only temporarily processed in memory and never stored
• API Key Security: Your Google Gemini API key is encrypted and stored securely in browser storage

5. Third-Party Services

Google Gemini API

• Chat messages are sent to Google Gemini API for AI response generation
• Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API

• Messages are not stored by our extension after processing
• Google may process data according to their terms of service

Shopee Platform

• The extension accesses Shopee chat pages with your permission
• Shopee's own privacy policy applies to your use of their platform
• We only read data visible to you as a Shopee seller

6. Data Security

• API keys and settings are stored securely using Chrome's encrypted storage API
• No data is transmitted to our servers (we don't have any)
• All communications with Google Gemini API use HTTPS encryption
• Extension code is reviewed by Chrome Web Store before publication

7. Permissions Explained

This extension requires the following permissions:

• storage: To save your API key and preferences locally
• tabs: To detect when you're on Shopee chat pages
• activeTab: To interact with the Shopee chat interface
• scripting: To inject the AI assistant interface into Shopee pages
• Host permissions (*.shopee.*): To access Shopee chat pages where you use the assistant
• generativelanguage.googleapis.com: To communicate with Google Gemini API

8. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is stored locally - you can view it anytime in extension settings
• Delete: Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data immediately
• Modify: Change your API key and settings anytime through the extension
• Export: Your API key and settings can be backed up manually
• Disable: Turn off the extension anytime without losing your settings

9. Children's Privacy

This extension is designed for Shopee sellers (business use) and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Users

This extension can be used globally. Your data is processed locally on your device and by Google Gemini API according to Google's data processing locations and policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

• Extension functionality
• Legal requirements
• Best practices

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
